Reggie Ponder, The Reel Critic, can be heard on WBEW 91.1 FM Chicago/Vocalo.org. He writes for The Garfield/Lawndale Voice Chicago and has several radio/internet segments designed to elevate Black voices in film. His latest project is The Reel Critic Roundtable which features four African American critics discussing film. His work can be heard on Vocalo and found at reggieponder.com He has an AB in sociology from Princeton University, an MBA in marketing and economics from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business and experience working in the field of diversity Equity and inclusion. He draws on all these disciplines as he critiques film and provides commentary about the film and greater entertainment industry. His mantra “If we are not creating a dialogue, we are just talking to ourselves”
