Lily Gladstone is the real deal. And if you didn’t know that yet, just wait, because her career is only going up to the stratosphere. Her breakthrough role was in Kelly Reichardt’s Certain Women, which earned her Gotham and Indie Spirit Award nominations. She then followed up with a part in Reichardt’s First Cow, once again leaving an impression, because that’s just how good she is. And things are just getting started. Her performance in Quantum Cowboys is the entire package of her cool and collected personality, something that audiences will see much more of when she’s working alongside Leonardo DiCaprio in Martin Scorsese’s Killers of the Flower Moon. In arguably one of my favorite interviews ever, Lily talks about how important it is to change the way Native American and Indigenous people are seen in westerns, being a part of an inventive movie such as Quantum Cowboys, and working in a creative space with Martin Scorsese.
