New Podcast from Kevin McLenithan on Christ and Pop Culture: Seeing and Believing 222 | Joachim Rønning’s Maleficent: Mistress of Evil and William Friedkin’s The Exorcist

Seeing & Believing takes a voyage into some hearts of darkness with the two films this week. Angelina Jolie returns in Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, the sequel to Disney’s 2013 revisionist take on the iconic villain of Sleeping Beauty. Wade and Kevin also fill in a big gap in their horror-movie backgrounds, offering their first-time impressions of 1973’s classic portrait of spiritual evil, The Exorcist. The film’s infamy certainly precedes it; does it live up to its harrowing reputation?
