New Podcast from Kevin McLenithan on Christ and Pop Culture: Seeing and Believing 171: A Review of The Tree of Life Extended Edition and Jeremy Saulnier’s Hold the Dark

Terrence Malick’s masterpiece The Tree of Life is back in a big way these days, as the new Criterion Collection release includes a brand-new cut from the director himself! Wade and Kevin revisit the film to explore how the extended edition changes Malick’s vision, for better or for worse. They then turn their attention to a film that in many ways is the polar opposite of The Tree of Life: Jeremy Saulnier’s meditation on human savagery, the Netflix original film Hold the Dark.
